Oftentimes, I wonder what I was on about. [being a conduit for truth, justice and the American Way and all] In the case of Permalink #11, the hyperlink 404's. Link rot! Dead Internet is true!

Fortunately I extracted the pertinent data.

Re; the styrocrete; I just posted NightHawkInLight's Making Infrared Cooling Paint From Grocery Store Items (w/Novel CaCO₃ Microsphere Synthesis) in the free airconditioning thread. He demonstrates filling a cylinder with two different sized spheres to make a point about densifying the slurry with different particle sizes.

Similar to the distiction between sand, silt and clay.

Instead of Portland cement you can use sea shells.

12 Oct 2022It appears that Florida is composed of mostly seashells, which is an ancient form of concrete (see coquina mix and Indian tabby). The Cherokee Bee-hive tombs in the Carolina's look very interesting too, since bees are a symbol of Judah and the promised land of milk and honey.
Everything old is new once again....

IOM3 | Making concrete from seashells
A concrete-like material made from waste seashells is being proposed by materials design company, Newtab 22 in Germany. The firm is making use of the high concentration of calcium carbonate (limestone) in these shells, creating a material named Sea Stone.
