What surprises me the most about that prototype is that Volkswagen used to resort to Chrysler importers in order to reach overseas markets, including Brasmotor which was the Brazilian assembler for Chrysler and other brands of the group at the time of Volkswagen's arrival in Brazil. Later on, a former assembler of Studebaker in Brazil would merge with Volkswagen in '67, right after Volkswagen bought Auto Union from Daimler-Benz.
