Like Xist, I'm a fan of insulation. For the last week (on and off) I've been working on a 4x10ft panel of 4" foam insulation in a metal C-channel frame. Just before noon, I finally got it up on the roof. And added 4x4ft of foam against the south-facing wall and window.
Might add a big silver tarp.
Beyond that I have the MERV-11 smoke season whole house fan, a old window air conditioner (I vacuumed out the fins) and a pesonal fan I hope I won't need now.
The dome I lived in through the late 90s-early 00s is still shrugging off this kind of weather today, I'm sure. It had radiant floor heat and a big lazy ceilng fan, no A/C.
