'sides and lift'
I revisited the streamlined tail research at Loughborough University, and Jeff Powell et al., mentioned that the sides of either the 2D, or 3d boat-tails produced zero lift, only surfaces above or below the body, which would support the zero-lift wheel skirt hypothesis.
