Dealer, independent shop or DIM (do it myself)?

So I subscribed to a couple days of TIS since it seems impossible to get the swaybar bushing brackets off.

I was missing the first step: Remove the engine and transaxle.

Now what? Should I take out the engine and transmission to do this? If I take them out part way I might possibly be able to get at the bushings. But I don't know, maybe I should take it to a mechanic, or at least get a price first. If Toyota's own instructions say "remove the engine and transaxle" then I would guess it would be kind of expensive to have done.
