Leftists (distinct from liberals) say poor people are fat because all they can afford is McDonalds. If I got McDonalds for my birthday as a kid, that indicated we had a lot of fun money to frivolously spend.

Now McDonalds is super expensive, and the tired narrative still plays.

My go-to cheap fast food now is $9 BOGO Subway footlongs. $4.50 for a footlong is a good value. That said, if I were homeless, I'd get a Costco membership when the sign-up bonus includes a $30 store credit. $1.50 footlong and drink all day long. Whole pizza when I want to splurge. Might just tour the samples and call it a day.

You think I could legally eat for less than $100 in a year if forced to? I'd accept that challenge.
