I've been sensitized to what happened 6000 years ago by a Randall Carlson video where he mentioned the Burkle Crater Event.

The tsunami is one thing, but there was also the euphemistic 'water vapor'. Imagine a cubic mile of water turned to steam that passes Eastward around the Southern Hemisphere, eventually cooling to scalding hot water.
