I'll take the canoe out, which is likely the last time this year.
It's about 50° F here. But with a cold strong wind coming in it feels like it might snow tonight.

Let me say this about tire pressure. I on purposely filled my Avalon tires some 3psi higher than recommended all year, and about 6 higher in the winter. But I don't think that was enough. I just changed my tires this summer, but they wore more on the edges, as if I didn't have enough tire pressure.

My conclusion is that if you drive in the cold or drive short distances that don't really warm up the tires or fill your car up, such as in my case, then you need more pressure.

I ordered (hopefully a good) air compressor so I can adjust my tire pressure at home. I'll fill them up to around 7 psi more most the year and up to the max 44 psi in the winter for around town, unless I feel like it's too much for whatever reason (i.e. loss of traction). But I'll lower it back down close to recommended pressures before hitting the highway.
