Houses should probably built in modular units on an assembly line with materials produced in the dimensions specified by the process; not the process modified to accommodate standard material dimensions.

If materials must be cut, that represents an unnecessary step and a bespoke design. Materials should arrive, and assembly completed by automated systems. If human hands are required for assembly, the process hasn't been optimized sufficiently.

These modular units receiving final assembly after transport to the final location.
