The fact that we care who is the most removed, furthest arm of government more than who is closest, most local, implies a broken system. The primary consideration of any representative of the executive branch has to make local politics more important than (what should be) the least important politics. Anything else is a continuation of corruption that will end in horror beyond imagination.
