There is also a huge lack of training and vehicle knowhow.

I live in the mountians and feel I'm the minority among those that know what the numbers after the D represent. The school's mechanic says that every time a teacher takes a company car to the city it always comes back with warped rotors.

I was with some family the past couple weeks that when riding in their cars they didn't know how to get the windshield from fogging up because they didn't realize that changing from recirculation to fresh air had an effect.

Even those that drive stick shifts, I know several that will not shift up past 4th gear. They will go down the highway in 4th gear, even if their car has 5 or 6 speeds.

Nobody knows how to drive and nobody cares either.
