Here in Nevada, a caucus isn't an election, you can do pretty much whatever in a caucus as long as a bunch of officials agree loud enough to win. The parties involved forward their results to the county registrar of voters and they appear on the ballot. As a result we sometimes get really weird candidates that end up with only a handful of votes.
The republican bunch are having a caucus a week after the primary. Not sure if the nominee will be on the official ballot if not named trump
