Wayne at clean mpg did a new steady state with the 17 inch wheel Prius. Based on highway alone, the 17s had an average of 10 extra mpgs over the 19 inch wheels. So apparently tire sizes still makes a big diff on the highway and not just city driving. Obviously he said the car was in better condition for 17 inches but geez, 10-12 extra mpg just on highway cruising is a huge gain by just downsizing 2 inches
