It certainly lacked the necessary repetition to drive home what The Lie is. I get why though, because it's complicated, requiring almost an hour of explanation (not to mention assumptions about baseline knowledge about many other things).
Equity is the authoritarian lie en vogue.
It does tie into a major premise of SA, that fairness is a fictional concept invented to give children and idiots something to argue about. *Callback to one of my favorite episodes where he takes me from strong disagreement to mild agreement.

The lie is that since we're blank slates, any unidentical outcome is the result of oppressive institutions. In the past, we'd take up our grievances of unfairness with God Almighty, but since god's dead, we complain to our omniscient and benevolent congressfolk.
I embellished some portion of that, but Rudyard (and SA) would approve.
