Maybe no-one else thinks about this but I do.

Today I wonder about inwheel suspension and an unsprung hub motor.

The innovation here is putting a twospeed transmission inside the motor rotor. Else the motor would have to be twice as heavy. On the downside it does require an hydraulic system for cooling, lube and shifting.
