You know, most people are not so excited to pay the higher price for a "clean" car, so an eventual increase to the maintenance cost in order to ensure the aftertreatment system is fully functional is also upsetting some folks. Just look at how many folks do EGR and DPF deletes on newer Diesels for instance.
