Looking at the flat bottom, I was reminded of the research paper linked here:

Basically it says that the second cover after the front engine belly pan might be better off being a little higher toward the front and tucking above the front one to create a backward directed exhaust vent for the engine bay.
That makes some sense because as things are the engine bay air is venting out the wheel wells? and likely ends up as more turbulent air down the sides of the car
Have you, or anyone here tried such?
