My fridge died Saturday, and in my ignorance I didn't realize in our advanced modern economy, there are no places you can go where one can trade USD in exchange for a new fridge. I went to Lowes, Costco, Home Depot, and Best Buy, and they all had dozens of fridges, zero of which were for sale.
Here's where I tie in global warming. It happens to be that the fridge died at the perfect temperature to create a walkout cooler for all the food that used to be stored in said dead fridge (thanks for the awful compressor LG). Now I get to walk about my deck and hand select items I wish to eat instead of being confined to a tiny and cluttered box of food.
Apparently in this advanced state of humanity, one must plan fridge failure 2 months in advance. Probably has nothing to do with the fact that everything is made in China.
