From that POV consumption limits are a very good thing for us all, hopefully.
I'm agreeing, which is why I suggested consumption limits as the primary method of speed reduction.

In the past, technologies like active suspension have been banned as a means of speed reduction. That accomplishes the priority to slow the vehicle down, but also eliminates innovation that could trickle down.

My overall point is that constraints should prioritize safety and encourage innovation that might be useful to the automotive markets.
