first rig (still have it), and got the best mpg of any rig i've owned. got over 30 mpg stock. well, kinda stock. i ripped out the electronic controls for the carb, and made manual ones. i was always tinkering with it, using scrap metal and other garbage to make my own parts. hey, i was 16. most of my money went to girls, booze, and grass. once i lifted it and added the big mud tires, i stopped keeping track (i was older, with a better job, and gas was still cheap).
fun fact: its rare, but some Bronco II's came with a 4 cyl deisel. made Fourwheeler magazine's "mileage kings" for suv's.
