Cars are just like airplanes in one respect: If something worked and were cheap and easy, everybody would be doing it by now.

There must be a million guys out there trying to sell some type of snake oil to the credulous. In the diesel pickup community it is two-stroke oil and acetone. There are still people insisting that HHO generators work.

MPG is just like racing. If you want big performance you gotta take radical steps. Check out basjoos and Phil Knox’ (Aerohead) vehicles. Radical, but they get big results. Most of us here drive in a way that drives the “texting-while-driving” crowd absolutely nuts, but we get results.

If somebody offers you something that claims huge results for a couple hundred dollars, you “BS-meter” should be pegged.
