My Civic never had the pass-side mirror to begin with, until I put it on there b/c my wife wanted it... I still don't use it, so I guess I don't see an issue with not having it.
I think the interior pass-side mirror is the best idea though, visually... I have no previous real-world experience with this, so this input can be ignored.
