But when I had my partial upper grill block, the cooling fan would turn on when the needle hit just over halfway. I mean 51/100 kind of halfway. Now that I took off the upper grill block i haven't had the problem but I need to test it more. Florida is not cold enough, even in winter, to for my old setup to be safe.

So that gauge there....that's coolant temp? i thought it was engine temp. Or is it basically the same thing, or same way to measure engine temp?
