Ok, got the circuit for manual shifting of the trans ready to try, I ordered the parts I need, only $10, and will probably work on them over Christmas break. Not to be installed till mid January. Sorry I can't do it faster
I would give you the schematic, but I don't want to burden you with any trouble shooting. Anyhow, I almsot got the PWM nailed down, perhaps tomarrow it will be all figured out....
As a little update, I'm at half a tank and 40 miles further than my last tank, so all indications point towards a gain in mpg
