Im satisfied with mine. At least for me, its just a plain understanding that when the car is that cold, everything moves slow and the temporary loss of feedback is not a big deal. Ive only lost the top characters the one time, and it started working soon after. Its not too often around here it hits -20F. Zero or -10 is common, but the screen works then.

I remember 6 years ago it was -20F for many days on end, then it hit -30F the last night of the cold spell. All 3 cars would start at -20F, but at -30F they were dead.
