Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile SA (SQM) is a Chilean producer of specialty plant nutrients and chemicals. It operates nine production plants and its business is divided in four areas: Specialty Plant Nutrition (SPN), engaged in the production of fertilizers and nutritional solutions under the Ultrasol, Qrop, Speedfol and Allganic brands; lithium exploitation and production of lithium carbonate, lithium hydroxide, lithium metal; iodine extraction and the production of iodine derivates, and the production of industrial chemicals, such as sodium nitrate, potassium nitrate, boric acid and potassium chloride, among others. The Company has commercial offices in more than 20 countries represented by wholly owned companies and affiliated companies in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Oceania.
