Hi everyone

Hi,

I have been driving for 12 years now, all sorts of european cars and I have a thing for modding ...

Be it turbo-ing my Mini, fitting high-comp piston to my supermoto and now making my work commuter less fuel thirsty.

Obviously european and especially french cars are pretty economical but you still get to do a little better than what is there to start with.

So, the car :
2001 Renault Megane DCi

Looks like that but mine is dark grey
It's got a 1.9 diesel turbo common rail engine (105 HP and 20,4 mkg at 1 500 rpm) weigh 1,250 kgs and is said to return :

Highway : 4,4 l / 100 km
mixte : 5,2 l / 100 km
urban : 7,2 l / 100 km

I am having a consistant 5,3 on my commute to work at this time of year and have seen an all time low of 4,8 on a long journey from south but that was using A/C sparingly and driving in the 110 / 120 km/h region

Anyway, I plan to do something for the front lower grille (in the bumper) and add rear wheel fender from an R25 to start with. THere is work to do under the car as well especially on the rear.

I would really like smaller rear view mirrors (they have to be out of the car) and work on the weight of the car.

Seems like a great forum and finally people with which I can share !

Bye
