well, you would get a better fit and more power with a stock VW diesel engine and at a lower cost, if you want to cut out the rear of the beetle and make a new rear bumper you can even get a vw diesel to fit in the beetle, after all it will bolt right up to the tranny, the Kubota diesel engine would need an adapter plate made.
