It lists 1.5L diesel engine in 1980. Too bad the engine is blown. I would love to convert a VW pickup to veggie-oil!!!!!
Now I am not much of a mechanic BUT is there some chance that this "blown" engine might be not too difficult to fix? Isn't there a frost plug or something that is supposed to pop out if the engine freezes? |
Vw caddys are sweet and bring a premium price on ebay I have an 81 rabbit that has a 1500 engine with the head off then i have a head that i bought on ebay. I know tons of repair tricks as ive worked on vw diesels in the past. If you buy that thing I would be willing to try to help you out with tips and tricks that can help revive that old beast. Also I would suggest reading From the fryer to the fuel tank by Joshua Tickell. That would help you to get on track to converting it to a veggiewagen
