I think of "trip" for going to + coming from a destination, as that way the climbs/descents balance each other. But I'm not setting the timeout to 8 hours...
I don't know that I can come up with anything better either.
Just to be clear, I'm not faulting your choice of wording or code design - it make perfect sense (now),
especially in a pre-1.0 release.
