After doing a quick look through my fridge I can say that almost everything in there corn syrup listed at least once. So far my milk is safe(until the chocolate syrup goes in).
A lot of the popular commercial breads have a sweet taste. Either they don't let the yeast finish or they add extra sugar. I bet it's a little of both.
