I can't attest to the accuracy of the Kiwi as I have never used one but I do have a SGII and couldn't be happier. My SGII reads within .2 gallons on my tank avg (compared to my actual miles driven/pump fill).
With any "real-time" mpg instrumentation it's never going to be 100% exactly correct at all times during operation of your vehicle because so many variables (road conditions, throttle position, etc.) are constantly affecting the actual mpg. It's a fairly accurate representation of your car's real time mpg.
If real time mpg is all you want to track (and you don't need or want the extra guages that SGII and Kiwi offer) why not pick up a MPGuino for $55 (pre-built).
