Exactly. Now if we want to get back to the point of departure, I believe I said that US railroads could be run on the energy produced by, roughly, 9-18 1 GWatt nuclear plants - or the equivalent solar, wind, geothermal, etc. The point being that it would be fairly easy, technically, to convert rail transport to use some energy source(s) that doesn't involve fossil fuels.
