Yeah, $90,000 quite the deal! Tesla is good PR for electric cars but the pricing is wacked. I would LOVE it if they produced a "people's car" using their technology. Something in the $20,000 range with normal car specs for speed/acceleration.
I don't know if it's possible given their battery design.
Maybe if they started with a Tata Nano as the car base instead of a Lotus. A Nano sells for around $2,000 WITH an engine.
