So if I gather this correctly, you are using the wrong colored wire for the vss (which should not be easier to find as it is in the dash)?!? Reminds me of a joke I once heard
There were two guys under a streetlight.
Guy A: [looking around] "I lost my keys".
Guy B: "Where did you lose them?"

Guy B: "Why are you looking over here?"
Guy A: "Because the light is better here."
Maybe I'm missing something here? The wire should be
yellow with a green stripe for vss. I do not know what you are tapping into that is light green. We will cover the injector later once we get distance working I recon. But you gotta meet me part way here.
