But I don't want one as a backup camera, I want it as a rear view mirror replacement. I'd hate to be driving down the road, and see what's in someone else's mirror.
If I could find some good ones, and had time to spare, I'd really like to run the displays through and image-processing program. I could do things like eliminate the glare from the idiots behind me who've apparently never heard of low beams. Though just image processing might not be entirely satisfactory: there was one last night who got me thinking in terms of a CO2 pellet gun mounted in computer-controlled gimbals. Sort of a remote-controlled dimmer switch :-)
