Missed out on a tank in December. Got lost in the snow on Christmas eve. Found my way in the end but when I would leave after a day or two I couldn't even drive out of my sisters parking lot. I had no fuel. Jerry canned enough to get me to a petrol station but I was to stressed out and to tired to take readings. I just wanted to get home.

On the saddle again.
Still running studded winter tires, spring is slow this year.
Need to renovate my front end. Things are making sounds and my front brakes are dragging slightly.

Skrutten is now officially a light truck. Didn't pass MOT at the first try and took me a month to fix the problems. Both control arms and a steering link was busted, the wheels wanted to go all over the place when they where of the ground. I'll get a alignment tomorrow and hope for really good MPG-gains after this!

In three days I'll drive to MOT and reregister my car as a light truck instead of a "car". It will be cheaper when it comes to taxes but the main reason is that it's easier for me to convert the car to a hauler then to refit the back seat after all the repairs I've done to the wheel houses. The reason I first began the rebuild in the back was because the attachment points for the rear seat back rest had rusted away, a piece of the wheel house. Had to install a floor instead of the seats and build a frame with netting behind the front seats to make sure cargo won't come flying.
I've been late getting away to work a couple of times this month, some spirited driving saved my bacon but affected my mpg.

Added fender liners to the back since I'm done with welding the wheel wells for the moment. Mounted them with oversized bolts to the body as a step towards fender skirts. They will lose some of their original mounting points when the skirts goes on. Added a 2mm thick layer of butyl rubber dampening mats to the fender liner to reduce cabin noise. It no longer sound like a rain machine while driving in wet conditions. Liner was added late on this tank, probably around a quarter tank left so it shouldn't have affected much.
The weather have been quite warm most of the tank, had to open up my grill block.

Done some welding to the trunk area, still some left to do. Fixed a suspension problem. Changed the location of the horn to get a cleaner air flow to the radiator. Started blocking of "escape routes" for the air which enters the grill. Trying to force it to go through the radiator, not around it which it is allowed to do in stock form.

Half tank on winter tires, half on summer. Did a big break job. One rear caliper was locked up and one hand break wire had rusted making the brake pads drag. The snow have finally left us!

Finally got to welding my wheel arches. A little bit less Swiss cheese from the rust, but far from done.

A lot of time spent on solving problems during this tank. Drove for a week without mufflers because the old ones gave out, cat mounted to frame with steel wire, felt like the car would split in two from the vibrations when the engine had to work a little. Had to go on a short trip and could not stand the vibrations, mounted a glasspack-muffler from my bike behind the cat so that I at least could mount the system in rubber bushings. Working on a new muffler.
Have a new noise in the cab, think it's a bad bearing somewhere.
Lots and lots of work removing rust. =/
Quite a few trips through forested areas during rainy nights where I don't dare to drive fast enough to use highest gear.
