Amarillo to Denver, with a bit of adventure in the middle. Around halfway through the tank, my serpentine belt snapped, caused by a seized tensioner pulley. I drove around ten miles without it (battery discharging and no power steering) into the next town. In town I got the belt and pulley replaced (at 138893 on the odometer, 263.1 on the tank), and there were a few minutes idling the engine making sure everything was working. Mostly highway around 65, but after the belt was replaced it was late and I was in a hurry to get to Denver so I drove around 75.

Mileage is approximate because battery died and trip meter was lost, so I'm just calculating it off of the odometer. Car sat for at least a month when I was on my motorcycle trip, and was rarely driven at all due to warm/dry weather, so I rode my motorcycle most places.

This tank was usual in town stuff, probably half highway half surface streets with passengers in the car probably half the time.

First tank in a long time over 500 miles, but then I overpaid for gas because my low fuel light came on and I went to the first gas station instead of driving a few more miles to cheaper gas.

Got the oil changed (5w30) and the car inspected (added new windshield wipers) at the beginning of the tank, about 20 miles around town, the rest highway Dallas to Amarillo. Speeds around 60-65, mostly towards 65. I knew driving a little faster (than my usual 60) would hurt mileage, but this was a little worse than I expected, maybe there was a headwind or something.

Weather has been really cold this tank, probably doesn't help that when its cold I drive instead of bike and also the drive is too short for the car to fully warm up.

300 miles highway, 200 city with no EOC or off at stops, due to starter making wierd noise, I don't want it to die on me at a stoplight.

Keystone, CO to Clarendon, TX. Apparently this is what happens when you drop ~6,000 feet. First tank over 500 miles, and I probably could have made it to 600, but didn't want to risk running out of gas in the middle of nowhere.

Edit: It was either this tank or the previous tank I crossed over 100,000 miles on the odometer.

Denver to A-basin and back (over Loveland pass) for 4 days. Pretty good for such steep roads.

Distance is approx, because about 90 miles into tank, battery died and odometer was reset, so it was 227.1+about 90, so mileage might actually be a little higher. Getting out on my bike on days I don't have to lug a tuba around, so I am only driving 40% of my commute and riding 60%.

Carpooling home and back most of tank, so little EOC or off at stoplights. Starting to get warmer, and I am now only carpooling once a day. Once I don't have any carpools, I am hoping to ride my bike on days I don't have to carry my tuba.

Half with tuba, carpooling 1 person home and back, so very little off at stoplights. 40*-ish weather, probably some freezing. Changed oil to lower viscosity about halfway through tank.

I'm now carpooling with someone in the mornings and evenings, so I turn off at stoplights almost never. Also I didn't inflate my tires almost the entire tank, so that couldn't have helped. Also Its getting pretty cold, a lot of the days are around 40-50 *F and there have been a few that were freezing.

Even though my mpg is down, I'm making money carpooling, and helping reduce emissions by carpooling, so overall I'm doing good for my wallet and less bad for the planet.

About 10% highway, the rest city, with half tuba+person-Engine off at stops, other half me+EOC a little. 1/8 to 1/4 of tank wasted SUPER antihypermiling (redlining, 80+mph, etc.) Nothing wrong with a little fun every once in a while

Half of the time carrying an extra person and tuba, and not turning off at stoplights. Other half with just me, turning off at stoplights and getting into some EOC before a light. All city driving.

My First Hypermiling tank, although my dad drove (antihypermiling) for about half the tank.

EDIT: working backwards, there was about 95,000 miles on the car at the beginning of this tank.
