Driving back to school to SLO. My truck was loaded with stuff.
I also took off my body lift. However, I couldn't really test out the gains cause I was driving 75 mph most of the way. I had to get there before my apt office closed.
I am feeling an increase in mileage though. Hopefully when I visit home I can drive 60 mph and see how much of a difference it is without the lift. |

Drove from Livermore to SLO.
The last time i drove purely on cruise control I got 19.95mpg. Since I got the Vacuum gauge I have been trying to beat that record but have been unsuccesful. So I decided to use the Cruise control once again. I used it for 75% of the drive and relied on the vacuum gauge for the steep hilly areas. From now on im going to use both cruise control and the vacuum gauge.
P.S. I was loaded with camping gear, just like last time when i got 19.95. Strange coincedence. |

Drove from SLO to Livermore. Used Cruise control a little bit on flat areas to give my foot a rest. Mostly Highway miles, but with a little city driving. I drafted behind a lot of semis and never went above 60mph.
Side note, Im due for an engine oil change. Im going to switch to synthetics and see how much that helps. Also rotate my tires an fill them up to max psi. Hopefully i'll see an improvement on the next tank |
