This tank was Sunoco 89 octane, Part work commute and a trip to see friends. Also have a few short trips to and from shopping. 89 octane seemed to give no noticable difference in start up/running. (subaru has 10:1 compression, recommending 87 or higher). I will see if there is any differences with the next tank and try to make a comparison between 87 E10 and 89 E10 and how the vehicle runs with either on in the tank.
I maybe have skewed data myself as I finally go to get the smooth wheel covers on the front of the car. So I may need to do another 89 octane tank to properly compare. |

Changing required short drives and ~25 minutes of idle time. Not sure how to gauge MPG average. Mixed wasted idle time, commute, short trip, cold weather, warm weather, and rain days with defroster. Overall can't complain because the Subaru broke 25MPG which is its highway rating. |
