This tank included a 350 mile round trip on an interstate. My average speed for the entire tank was 51 mph.

I've been using my AC a little less, maybe about 75% of the time, and I've been turning off my car at stop lights.

I just resumed hypermiling during this tank, after completely rupturing my right bicep on 4/28. I've been using my usual hypermiling techniques, but my AC has been on ≈ 95% of the time.

Also, my service engine light was on for almost a month. (It turned off at ≈ 200 miles into this tank). I scanned Robin with my SGII, and one code came up--P0420 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold).

Conditions for this tank were more favorable, compared to recent tanks. It's been warmer lately (mid-60's on most days and 80+ on a couple days). For 300 miles of this tank, I was driving on a rural highway, at about 45-55 mph and 1500-2000 rpm. I also had a long trip on an interstate (over 180 miles). I drove way below the speed limit (51 mph avg), but there were nasty 20+ mph headwinds/crosswinds, as well as rain, which probably negated my hypermiling efforts.

I took Robin to a garage, and she was given a clean bill of health. The mechanic said the fluctuating idle I was noticing last tank was probably the computer "resetting itself" after I disconnected the battery. The idle problem resolved shortly after I scheduled the appointment. Also, the mechanic didn't find a vacuum leak (20 in. Hg at idle), and the compression test results were OK... 172 psi +/- 1-2 psi for each cylinder.

Near the end of this tank, I installed a Civic SiR chin spoiler, removed the passenger side mirror, and installed an ICB Motorsport side mirror block off plate. I also installed a permanent upper grill block made of epoxy. However, I removed my partial lower grill block, due to recent high engine temps (195-200+).

A lot of things were working against me during this tank.... Ambient temps were mostly in the 30's and 40's, dipping into the 20's on a few nights. I drove over 190 miles on the interstate, 65 mph +, due to heavy traffic. The Honda dealer overfilled my oil by half a quart a couple weeks ago, and I just noticed it and drained it near the end of this tank... probably didn't hurt my mileage too much. I disconnected my battery when I installed a distributor cap and rotor, ignition coil, and spark plug wires. After that, for about the first 1/4 of this tank, my car was switching back and forth, from open loop, to closed loop, to open loop. The needle on the fuel gauge was moving a lot more quickly during that time. Also, I think my car has a vacuum leak. According to my Scangauge, my car's MAP is 4 psi at idle, and I've noticed occasional abnormally high RPM's (1500+) and fluctuating RPM's at idle, when the car is warmed up. I briefly installed a lower grill block, first a full block, then about a 90% block, but I removed it because it seemed to exacerbate the idle issues. I've scheduled an appointment for next week, to get the vacuum leak fixed.

This tank was entirely on an interstate (I-81), on a cold night (30's). It was late at night, so traffic was light enough for me to drive around 55-60 mph most of the time. With the new LRR tires (Bridgestone B381), I've noticed greatly reduced road noise and slightly better coasting. I also installed a Scangauge, which I just started to get the hang of toward the end of the trip.

For this tank of gas, my tires were pumped up to 45 PSI the whole time. I also did more hypermiling (e.g., drafting tractor trailers from 40-50 feet away for 20-30 miles total, EOC for roughly 10 miles total, and turning off the car at red lights 5-6 times). I also had an oil change, trans fluid change, and installed new spark plugs (all OEM), and I removed my mudflaps. The ambient temperatures were similar to those during my last tank (40's and 50's, for the most part), except for one day, when the high temperature was 79 degrees.

I just purchased this car on 3/5/11. It's completely stock, with 127K miles. I drove approximately 70% highway, 30% city.... the first 85 miles with 4 low tires. (The plastic bar on the tire pressure gauge didn't move when I checked the tire pressure.) For the rest of this tank, my tires were pumped up to 45 psi. I didn't do much hardcore hypermiling (e.g., EOC, drafting, etc.), but I did keep my RPM's between 2 and 3K and speed around 50-65 MPH the majority of the time. The ambient temperatures were in the 40's and 50's, for the most part.
