About as bad as I've seen. Noticed some noise coming from the rear tires. Might be a bad wheel bearing, I'm not sure. Regardless, all trips less than 5 miles, so may just be the drop in outside temp and the commensurate drop in cold-start oil temps causing this. Try to coast as much as possible between stop signs on back streets (accelerate to 30 and coast to the next sign). May have let one of the tires get low. Ended up improving by more than 4 mpg over what I usually see on a tank. Also used 89 octane which improves mileage. I think it may pull less timing via the knock sensor, so I'm getting a little more power and efficiency. |
