3-5 mile trips and below freezing weather still, had to idle the car excessively multiple times to get thick layers of ice off in the morning. Was planning on installing manual converter lock switch but once car is warmed up I can get it into lock no problem without a switch. This 4spd sucks though, 2k rpm at 50mph, when at 45mph I can easily get 40-45mpg, not very practical on a 60mph highway though. |

Cold weather and short trips killing mpg, warmer weather should bring me way up in mpg. Redid grill block, blocks completely and no overheating. Found out at end of tank if I accelerate like a snail with very little throttle the car will shift at 2100rpm instead of its usual 2600rpm, other drivers hate it though, it also locks TC up much quicker and at lower speeds. Much improved trip mileage with snail acceleration. Looking in to getting a block heater |
