#14. This is the last fuel log this title. On the 15th of December we will start the three new logs, Energi Comb, Energi EV Only, and Energi IC Only. For this mpg run we logged 4.34 gallons purchased 63.4 kWh used, 77.982 kWh with charging loses for 2.314 gallons e using the EPA Cycle 33.7 kWh per gallon. Total gallons for 6.654 gallons e for 376.3 mi, of which 244.3 EV mi leaving 132 IC mi. This Ford C Max Energi is officially one year old today so this is a one year log if you combine all three logs. P.S. I need to have the front passenger side tire looked at for a slow leak. it is 2 psi down compared to the other ones?

#12. Drove 602 miles, with 372.6 of them EV miles, leaving 229.4 IC miles. Used 7.17 gallons of gasoline and 108.363 kWh of electricity including charging losses. 108.363/32.777 = 3.55 gallons of gas equivalent for a total of 10.72 gallons equivalent.

602 mi/10.72 gal = 56.156 mpg e
372.6 mi/3.55 gal = 104.95 mpg EV

#11. Did 252.6 EV miles, and 146.7 IC miles for a total of 399.3 miles. Used 5.145 gallons for IC operations for a dismal 28.51 MPG. Used 64.944 kWh for EV operations which translates to 1.981 gallons e for 127.5 MPG ev.
MY composite was 56.034 mpg e. The only thing I can think of to account for these results is higher speed IC operations.

#10. While we drove 686.8 miles only 238.9 miles of that was IC miles. We used 100 kWh to drive 447.3 EV miles or 123 kWh to charge/32.777 = 3.752 gallons e plus the 7.882 gallons pumped at $2.419 a gallon. Electricity is calculated at 8 cents a kWh. This is in preparation for a road trip tomorrow so I drove home from the gas station 18.5 miles using only electricity. This will allow me to do a pure highway mpg calculation for the car, (using some electricity.

#9. Car was parked for 10 days (08/17 to 08/27) while we were on vacation. We fueled up when we got back because Hurricane Harvey was causing gas prices to rise and we only needed 4.802 gallons of gas to fill the tank. The 3.058 gallons unaccounted for at gallons equivalent from electricity in to the battery pack. We feel we can easily make it into October before fueling again saving money not having to buy higher priced gasoline.

edit][delete] #1. *Trying something new here. I am calculating the cost of the electricity and the gallons of gasoline separately, adding the two then dividing gallons-e into it to get the amortized cost of energy per gallon . It looks like this.*

524.5 miles on 6.049 gallons ($12.88) = 86. 7 mpg.
319 EV miles on (69.3 kWhrs x 1.23) = 85.239 kWh x $.08 = $6.82 + $12.88 = $19.70

6.049 gallons + (85,239/32.777) = 2.509 gallons e
2.509 gal e + 6.049 gals = 8.559 gals e.

This increases my apparent cost, but it takes into account the cost of electricity, and thus it is a more accurate accounting for that reason.

319 miles/2.509 = 127 mpg e figured separately.
