This is my 1979 Yamaha XS650 which was my first vehicle back when I turned 16. It puts out 50 HP and has a 0-60 time of about 6 seconds. Top speed is about 130 MPH the way I have it geared now.
This past winter I rebuilt my 650's engine from the ground up, with a new cam chain, piston rings, a taller 5th gear, among other things a 30 year old bike could need (seals, gaskets, etc.). It averages just under 50 MPG, and I ride it fairly hard. I can top 60 MPG if I'm gentle with it on the freeway.
