Description: 3 door hatchback, cruise control, block heater, what has become apparent is the affect of air temperature and snow on the road, on fuel consumption. I have changed to the 2008 EPA fuel economy standard on September 9, 2010 so my % over EPA went from 38% to 63%.
Build Thread:
Current Mods: 44 psi tire pressure, aluminium underbody, moon hubcaps, heated intake air (up to 60C 140F in summer), 10% underdrive pullies, covered upper grill, high performance muffler... last summer I got down to 4.3L/100 km 56 mpg (US) for 2 fill ups and 4.4L/100 km for 4 fill ups and 4.66L/100 km for 7933 km used 370L, according the receipts & odometer readings on receipts.

Planned Mods: Thunder Street Header [instaled Jan 2010], rear wheel well cover, improvements to underbody, solar power or heat to reduce fuel consumption. Hatch back door extension, then boat tail. The realistic objctive is 3.7L/100km 63.5 mpg, fanticy land is 3.3L/100km 71.2 mpg...!
