Switched from stock 12" rims to 13" to allow Higher final-drive ratio overall with larger diameter tire package. Minor width increase adds to frontal area, offsets gains partially, but makes up for it. 20.5" to 24.8" change to Diameter w/ 185/80-13 tires. Changed springs/struts to alter ride-height.
Grille openings smoothed over (Radiator only occupies half of front area, anyway).
Planned Mods:
Skirts for the rear wheel wells. Dimpled-Al underbody pans.
I have 15" rims that I had run 185/60-15 tires on, but the rim width makes the tires' profile end up much wider overall. I'll use those only for summer with the full 55# and when I drive on the twisty roads.
More weight reduction is planned.
