Old project bike that sat for at least 10 years. 70,000 miles. Some trans whine and baked paint but otherwise good. Forum consensus is they're good for about 32 mpg. Hmmm... local GW Club says 40-45 mpg. The old horse must need a tune-up.

Throttle lock.
Planned Mods:
Taller windshield.
Modest aero cleanup.
Want to gear it up via taller final drive, taller 5th, and/or taller rear tire (car tire?).
See if carbs can be set leaner.
