Description: The car is in excellent condition for it's age - no rust, solid bodywork and only 86k miles for an 11 year old car. She has been maintained and serviced regularly so only a few standard service parts have needed to be replaced. A very good and reliable base for my project.

I should mention this is a very basic car - no AC, no central locking, no electric windows or powered rear view mirrors. The only luxury is a CD player that I never use - I only listen to the radio or iPod.
Build Thread:
Current Mods: Alloy wheels and tyres pumped to 45psi. Removing spare wheel soon.

I've ordered a ScanGuage2, a suspension lowering kit and some smaller rear view mirrors. Before I do anything I will establish a reliable baseline with the SG2 then introduce mods one or two at a time.

Planned Mods: Stage 1: fit ScanGauge2, convert to biodiesel, remove spare wheel

Stage 2: lower suspension 2", fit smaller mirrors, tidy up wiper area, remove roof rails, smooth wheel covers, lighter and narrower wheels, replace or refine front area by reducing all the vents

Stage 3: probably refining current systems - power steering, alternator replacement/elimination, convert to LED lighting, replace heavy components (especially rear suspension/axle) and any other weight/efficiency mods
