Bone stock when I got her from an older man who retired and didnt need a commuter vehicle anymore. Car had 92k miles and shifted like butter, due to his careful driving style and 120mile commute! He had a lifetime MPG of 63mpg and said he just drove it like a normal car!
So far I've driven the car about 4000 miles, hypermiling as best I can. The learning curve on this car is difficult compared to just operating an internal combustion engine. The installation of MIMA further complicated driving the Insight; but I have got the hang of it now and I really enjoy the challenge.
Bone stock I averaged about 76mpg on my 20 mile commute. With my current mods, and some grid charging I now now consistently get 85 to 100mpg on my commute!
